Amitabh Bachchan is the biggest film star, his son’s wedding invitation card has to be special. The invitation card of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's wedding ceremony is sent in a specially designed golden colored rectangular box. Two other boxes have been sent with it. Two Big entwined As (the first letters of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya) drawn on the boxes. The card also contains this emblem. The second box contains special chocolate mithai imported from Switzerland. The third box contains a Ganesh Idol. IBN Live reports: The second page of the card has Lord Ganesh embossed on it, followed by a few shlokas printed in golden letters. The third page has a Hindi poem written by late poet and Amitabh’s father Harivanshrai Bachchan while the fourth and fifth pages contain the actual invitation to the wedding at Prateeksha, in Hindi and English. The fifth and sixth pages give out the ceremonial details of the sangeet ceremony on April 18 and the wedding on the 20th. And the last page has the names of the members of the Bachchan and Rai family, along with those of close friend and SP leader Amar Singh and family. For a personal touch, each card has been signed by the parents of the bride and groom.

Newly wed Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai left for her in-laws' home after a traditional ''bidai'' ceremony here.
A specially decorated ''doli'' took Ash to the waiting car in the compound of ''La Mer'', the Rai residence in suburban Bandra, after the bride bade farewell to her maiden home and parents in a traditional ''bidai'' ceremony.
Anil and Tina Ambani, Amar Singh, Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl, Sikander Kher, Amitabh Bachchan and his brother Ajitabh, and Shweta Nanda were prominent among those who accompanied the bride and groom to ''Prateeksha'' where Jaya Bachchan was waiting to welcome her ''bahu'' into the family fold.
''Prateeksha'', located in Juhu, was the venue where the marriage of Bollywood stars Aishwarya and Abhishek was solemnised last evening.
The Bachchan family is expected to visit Tirupati tomorrow to pray to Lord Balaji for marital bliss for the newly weds.
Earlier, about 100 guests including the groom's family, relatives and friends and close associates of Aishwarya from the modelling and ad world, were treated to a lunch by the Rais.
The Bachchans escorted Ash to her Bandra home from ''Prateeksha'' well past midnight, around 0215 hrs, after the wedding guests had left.
En route, they stopped at Leelavati Hospital to seek blessings of grandmother Teji Bachchan, but seeing the hordes of mediapersons and photographers outside, they left without alighting.

The special wedding invite has been sent to just 200 close friends that include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav।

Shahrukh Khan, Dilip Kumar and socialite Parmeshwar Godrej do not find themselves in the guest list for the wedding, according to informed sources।

Selected guests have been invited for the wedding but some of Amitabh's closest friends, including industrialist Anil Ambani and Tina Ambani, politician Amar Singh and Sahara head Subroto Roy, are expected to be permanent fixtures over the three days, they said।

From Bollywood, director-producer Karan Johar and his mother Hiroo, director Goldie Behl and his wife Sonali Bendre, Anupam Kher, his wife Kirron and son Sikander, Ajay Devgun, Kajol, Sanjay Dutt, Jayaprada, Dimple Kapadia, Danny Dengzongpa, Yash Chopra, his son Aditya are among the invitees। Sachin Tendulkar, ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali are also among the invited।

The three-day wedding at the Bachchans' family home "Prateeksha" will see the Rais perform dance numbers set to step by Davar while Johar will have superstar Amitabh, wife Jaya and their children Abhishek and Shweta dance to his tunes.

The "mehendi" ceremony will be held on Thursday at Amitabh's bungalow "Jalsa" while the marriage rituals marked by traditional "saat phere" will take place on Friday at "Prateeksha".
Designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will do the dresses for the wedding while Sufi singer Raahat Fateh Ali Khan will perform.
The food will be served by the Taj Mahal Hotel while various delicacies would be prepared under the watchful gaze of ace chef Marut Sikka.
It seems Amitabh wants to keep these special moments private as, sources said, that he has turned down a Rs 40- crore proposal from National Geography to film the wedding.
A three-tier security structure will protect the wedding venues, where Mumbai Police team will form the outermost protection ring while Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's Black Cat commandos will provide cover in close proximity.
The Bachchans consider Amar Singh to be a member of their family and his name along with his wife Pankaja and daughters Drishti and Divya find a mention on the invitation cards.
The wedding cards also carries the names Shweta Nanda, Aishwarya's mother Vrinda and father B K Rai.
