    shiva

Ram Gopal Verma is back this year with a remake of his debut movie Shiva. He has casted the same actors, Mohit Ahlawat and Nisha Kothari, as his previous movie James.Shiva is a movie about a "young officer who has just joined the Mumbai Police" and who takes on the "odds when his principles and convictions are under threat. With a completely updated script and today's technical advances, I seek to capture that element of anger present in all of us. Most of us accept injustice mutely. But every once in a while, a rebel comes along who hits back". Those are RGV's own words about the movie.Shiva's music is directed by Ilayaraja. It quite a typical RGV film where it isn't much focussed on the music (except a few like Naach). Songs aren't very memorable, but aren't as bad either. At least not the first time you listen to them.

One man wanted an answer ‘Shiva’...

    Bas Ek Pal

After his sensitive “My Brother Nikhil” that dealt with homosexuality and AIDS, new-age director Onirban returns to the marquee this Friday with “Bas Ek Pal” about complex urban relationships.
The Sanjay Suri-Urmila Matondkar starrer goes into the overlapping issues of friendship, love, jealousy, passion, insecurity and anger.
The film revolves around five people bound by an incident that changes their lives forever. Set in Mumbai, each character has a secret. When they are unearthed, they alter the dynamics of every relationship in the movie.
The story goes something like this:
After completing his MBA from abroad, happy go lucky Nikhil (Sanjay Suri) returns to Mumbai where he bumps into Anamika (Urmila Matondkar), an architect, at a nightclub.
For Nikhil it’s love at first sight, but Anamika doesn’t take him seriously and disappears without even telling her name.
Nikhil starts visiting the pub anticlock regularly hoping to meet her again. After waiting for several nights, he is sitting there with his buddies Rahul (Jimmy Shergill) and Steve (Rehaan Engineer) when Anamika comes with her friends.
Nikhil tries to woo Anamika, but her boyfriend butts in and an altercation takes place, leading to a scuffle in which a shot is fired.
Time stands still as Nikhil realises he has shot his friend Rahul who is lying unconscious on the floor.
The moment changes their lives. And as the movie progresses it unveils their secrets one by one.
In the end, they realise that their quest for that ever elusive moment of happiness complicated their lives.
Critics liked the film but were not too happy with the climax when it was shown at the Osian Film Festival in the capital this year. Onirban had said he might tighten his film a little bit.
If he has indeed made the necessary alterations, the film is well worth a watch.

    Pyaar Ke Side Effects Reviews

The title itself gives a hint of the film being a romantic comedy...
Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose sound a couple as diverse as chalk and cheese...

The two actors come from different sensibilities or maybe you can say different schools of acting...

While Bose is known to play matured kind of roles, Mallika has maintained the seductress siren image till date...

While Rahul checks his breath (with Mallika as a costar we believe that's surely for a smooch scene), Mallika keeps a check on her heartbeats...

    They are in love...

    They are different...

They are a recipe for disaster...

Watch love crash in this season...

    (Courtesy - indiafm.com)

With a film starring an unlikely combination of Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat and belonging to a romantic comedy genre, 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' shows good promise both from the movie and music perspective...

    Prominently an urban album...

    (Courtesy - in.movies.yahoo.com)

Hot babe Mallika Sherawat will play a strong, sensuous and independent woman in a romantic comedy...

The film is a lighthearted comedy without any sexual undertones...

Bose plays a man who is absolutely smitten with Mallika but can’t commit to a life-long relationship with her...
