Four tells the story of four crazy people ( Arshad Warsi , Irrfan Khan , Rajpal Yadav and Suresh Menon ) who are taken out of the loony bin by their doting doc ( Juhi Chawla ) to watch a cricket match. But mid-way, the doctor is kidnapped and the crazy quartet are left unattended in the city of the ‘सने

And who exactly these ‘sane’ people are : an aspiring politician ( Rajat Kapoor ) who gets his own wife kidnapped। Or a corrupt cop doing the dirty job for him। Or a dreaded criminal in police custody who wants to prove that he is insane to stay out of jail। The crazy four may not have their heads on their shoulders, but their hearts are intact। And they decide to take on the baddies in their own crazy way to free their kidnapped doctor। And in doing so they discover that the outside world is not much different from their hospital। At best, the movie has only a few flashes of good comedy coupled with a gentle dose of patriotism by one of the two lovable characters in the story – Rajpal Yadav playing a Gandhian whose mind is stuck in a time warp। He thinks the country is still a British colony and we must fight for its freedom। The other somewhat lovable character is played by Irrfan Khan – an eccentric with an obsessive compulsive urge to keep everything clean। This apart, debutant director Jaideep Sen pretty much messes up everything else in the film। Arshad Warsi’s character of a perpetually angry guy could definitely have been etched better। Suresh Menon’s dumb guy is only made to keep a mute, constipated expression for most part of the film। Even the items by




Rakhi Sawant , Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan fail to pep you up. A minor thump followed by a big thud.
