“What’s Your Rashi” in this movie Priyanka has played 12 characters and the film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. This film is a version of the US based Gujarati writer Madhu Rye’s novel Kimball Ravenswood. What’s Your Rashi is romantic and comedy movie of Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja.





What’s Your Rashi Movie will release in theatre on 25th September 2009. There are twelve rashi according to Indian mythology and each rashi is arranged with a person and affect his or her whole life.


Acclaimed director Ashutosh Gowariker has given us three great dramatic films with Lagaan, Swades, Jodhaa Akbar but now he is moving on to another genre with his next production. Titled What's Your Rashi? the film will star Priyanka Chopra and newcomer Harman Baweja and will be a full-on light romantic comedy. Gowariker was looking for something that was less intense and less research needed and he found it in a book that is the basis for the script of film. In an interview with Subhash K Jha he revealed just a bit about the project and here are some highlights from that interview.


Though his prior films all had serious story lines, the new film What’s Your Rashi? will be different. Gowariker said, “Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar had the element of drama common to them. What's Your Rashi? is a light frothy romantic comedy. I've never done one of those before. After 10 years and three films that required me to do rigorous research at last I'm doing a film that requires no research.”
